A lot of people have been working hard with the preparations for the new School and we are
getting closer and closer to the opening. The work inside the building is completed
and I would like to express my gratitude to all those who in various ways have
worked with creating our fabulous School. You have done a fantastic job and I
am very proud of our new School!
All staff is employed, books and supplies are now filling the shelves in the School and the
furniture will be delivered at the end of the month. I am very much looking forward to when the
building will be filled with students as well.
I hope you are having a lovely summer and that you are enjoying your holiday.
I would like to thank staff, students and parents for taking part in the picnic last week and making it such a nice gathering. I wish you a lovely Summer Holiday and I look forward to seeing you all again in August.
I would like to welcome IES Huddinge's administrator, Sofie Wallentin, who started her new position this week. Ms Wallentin is originally from Sweden but has lived in the UK the six past years. I am very glad to have her in my new team of staff and I look forward to get the School started together with her and the other staff members. On 14th of June Mr Phillip Close will be joinin us as well.
I would like to officially thank the teachers that I interviewed on my first two
recruitment trips abroad, Ms McKendrick, Mr Scarlett and Mr McGrath, for patiently
waiting for all the permits to be in place for the new School and for me to be
able to write contracts with you. You will make a fantastic team together with
the other teachers I have hired. I am looking forward to your arrival in

I am very pleased that we have managed to fill several of our classes already.
This week the second round of offers is being sent out to students in the
queue. We will continue this process until all 8 classes are full. If you still
have not received an offer, it might be your turn next time.
Thank you to all of you who have accepted a place and will be starting at IES
Huddinge in August. It will be a fantastic first year in our new school!
I would like to express my warmest thank you to all students and parents who participated in our Workshop last Saturday.
It was lovely to see so many enthusiastic young people coming to experience what a day at Internationella Engelska Skolan Huddinge can be like.
Thanks also to the staff and student ambassadors from IES Eskilstuna, IES Hässelby and Internationella Engelska Gynmasiet for helping in making this event a success.
