Halloween and Student choice

Halloween and Student choice

Last week was great for our students who got to enjoy both Student choice days and also a great Halloween party arranged by the student council together with the PTA.

On the student choice there were several fun things to choose from, ranging from physical activities to poetry. Many students selected one of the events that were connected to Halloween, for example the Master baker event. Here the students competed in a baking challenge where they goal was to bake the scariest cake possible!

Welcome to a new School Year

We have had a great start to the new School Year. I would like to extend a huge thank you to our fantastic staff and all our lovely students for contributing to starting off the year in such positive and cooperative way. I am confident that our staff, both new and experienced, are well prepared to continuing the year in an outstanding way and that our students with their help will be reaching the maximum of their potential.

Looking back at our starting year 2013 with 250 students, we have over the years expanded with 390 students, to a full school with 640 students and 57 staff members. It has been an exciting and rewarding journey and I am very proud of what we are able to offer our students at IES Huddinge the coming school year. Please follow the blog for updates and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Again Welcome!

Graduation

Graduation

After a fantastic Graduation Ceremony held at Södertörns Högskola, with performances, awards and many other events, it is with great pride and with a bit of sadness we say goodbye to our Graduating class of 2016.

Best wishes from everyone at IES Huddinge!

Prom

Prom

Our graduating student of 2016 got to celebrate their Prom at a fantastic venue, the evening started with a formal three course dinner, followed by a whole lot of dancing!

The students graduating this year have been with us for 2 or 3 years as our school has grown and taken on more classes each year. It has been amazing to see how much they have grown throughout this time and on a night like this it is even more clear.

We hope that all of our students made memories that they will bring with them for the rest of their lives.

Masterclass dissection

Masterclass dissection

On choice day some brave year 9 students joined Ms Broekema in the Masterclass Dissection. The students behaved like true scientist as they examined the form and function of different organs such as a lamb's heart and kidney. Especially the dissection of the herring was a smelly but exciting event!
